The staff at Treetops are trained to work with this specific age range and to understand their needs. They have been chosen because of their character, qualifications and aptitude towards working with this age range. We have a high ratio of staff to children in all our sessions. All our staff are qualified in first aid which is regularly up-dated. They regularly attend additional training courses which keep them up-to-date with current trends and ideas in Pre-school education.

Staff have specialist training in Autistic Spectrum, Sensory Processing, Visual Impairment, Hearing Impairment, Foundation Stage Language for Learning and Portage Principles.

Treetops also has staff qualified to lead ‘Early Talk Boost’ sessions for children identified as requiring this targeted support. We call this ‘Tizzy Time’ and Nikki is the lead practitioner for this programme. https://ican.org.uk/training-licensing/i-can-programmes/early-talk-boost/

Treetops also has staff trained to deliver ‘Nuffield Early Years Intervention for Preschool’ (NELI Preschool). This is a 20-week programme for all children to support and develop their language skills. neli-preschool

Treetops is a Thrive setting – developing and supporting children’s emotional development. Jo Gunne is the Licensed Thrive Practitioner in the setting. Jo has completed her training and is now a ‘Family Thrive Lead Practitioner’. We will then be leading blocks of Family Thrive to Treetops families. https://developingchild.harvard.edu/resources/experiences-build-brain-architecture/
